cold urticaria

Cold urticaria is a rare form of hives in which exposure to cold produces redness, swelling and itching of the exposed skin, and can also cause systemic symptoms including headache, vomiting, diarrhea, wheezing, and even loss of consciousness. It can occur in children and young adults but tends to disappear spontaneously after a year or two.
