nipple confusion
I am not much of a believer in "nipple confusion," a condition supposedly marked by the baby getting confused between the breast and bottle feedings when offered the bottle or a pacifier and not exclusively breastfed and breast pacified. I have observed that babies may indeed get "angry" when Mother tries to give a pacifier or bottle and the baby knows darn good and well that the object of his desire is just out of reach inside the blouse. The same baby will usually take the alternative bottle or pacifier when offered by another person - Dad, Grandma, babysitter. So where is the confusion?
